Videos from Madison Protest

Standard

Upon entering the Capitol…the crowd was jaw dropping. I’ve been there before when it was both somewhat busy and very quiet. This, was unreal. You couldn’t help but be choked up. And everyone was so friendly – like out of their way friendly. I have truly never seen anything like it and won’t be surprised if I never do again.

Following are the videos of when the Fire Fighters entered the building. Bag pipes and all…I gasped. And the crowd went WILD!!!

This next video is of when the Police union members entered with arms filled with food and water for the protesters. Tossing sandwiches and chips to the hundreds of people in the building, these cops showed their support even though their rights are not currently being compromised by this bill. Too friggin cool…

This video is of the only “altercation” I witnessed all day. There was a man outside perched on the stoop with a sign stating that teachers were AWOL. He was alone and stood proudly in his ignorance. I don’t agree with him one bit. And I would probably want to strangle him if I knew him personally. But I must say, the dude does have some balls. He was alone and there were thousands of us. He may be wrong, but he had a right to voice his position.

And lastly, this is a video of a band that appeared out of nowhere as we took a break outside. Some good booty shakin’ drums today!!
