Updated as of 2:00pm Friday October 15, 2010 – From The Racine Journal Times: The homicide victim whose body was found in the woods Thursday afternoon has been identified as Sandra L. Teichow, 67, of Lake Geneva, according to Racine police.

Obviously my information was incorrect…as I said I heard from a friend who heard from a friend…so it wasn’t exactly “reporting”. Please know that cause of death could also be incorrect.

From Yesterday:
A 67 year old woman was found dead in Racine this afternoon. Still unnamed, it appears she may have been raped and strangled at the scene. It does not appear her body was dumped. I learned this second hand by a friend as we both know the people who live and work at this address. I feel so badly for the woman who found the body. I cannot even imagine. My thoughts go out to this couple who had to have  this tragedy so near where they sleep. Also, most of all to the soul of this poor woman who died too soon and her family who is no doubt in pain.

No information is being released as of yet. There will be an autopsy conducted on Friday.

Anyone with information on the woman’s death is asked to call Racine police at (262) 635-7700, and ask for Investigations, or call Crimestoppers at (262) 636-9330.

Information also may be sent to Crimestoppers by texting to CRIMES (274637) and referring to Tipsoft ID #TIP417 with the text message.
